Adenium Baobab

The desert rose, Adenium obesum, is a shrubby succulent with glossy green leaves and red-pink flowers. It has a widespread native distribution in Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It’s a popular choice for bonsai, in part owing to the swollen caudex which stores water.

This plant is easy care and drought tolerant.

Light & Temperature: Bright indirect light, and a warm spot. Provide with a bit of shade from the hottest summer sun.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce frequency of watering during the winter months to allow the plant to go dormant. 

Humidity: Thrives in ambient humidity.

Native: Africa.
